Queen City Opera, in partnership with the Mayerson JCC, presented the Exodus in Music and Art. This multi-faceted event featured performances of Handel's Israel in Egypt and original installation art from local artist Deborah Brod. This celebration of the spirit of Passover explored artistic depictions of a journey toward freedom, justice, equality, and identity.

The performances served as the Midwest premiere of the complete critical edition of Israel in Egypt, featuring a 16-voice chamber choir and a 30-piece orchestra conducted by Isaac Selya. A projected slide show designed by Lizzy DuQuette with images inspired by the music accompanied the performances.
